The gasping breath is said to emulate the last breath we take in life before we die. I’m not sure what the significance of this is, but once you have gotten the hang of breathing like this and your mind can focus on meditation is when the really trippy stuff can happen.Read More

Charcoal has been having a moment! Over the last year I have seen countless charcoal beauty and wellness products advertised across all forms of social media. I’m seeing it in detox drinks (have you heard of the Dirty Lemon Cleanse), countless beauty products ( teeth whiteners, masks, soap, the list goes on and on), and now it’s even making it’s way into every day treats (a number of trendy ice cream spots are now serving up charcoal flavor variations). So yea charcoal is pretty much everywhere!Read More
First of all the No Fat/Low Fat diet trend is SO 1990’s. At least 20-35% of your daily calories should come from fats, but not just any fats, Healthy Fats. I'm sure you've heard about the Ketogenic diet. If not you should read this book Fat for Fuel by Dr. Joseph Mercola or get some research on his website mercola.com. I will be doing a more in depth post on ketogenic or as he calls it MMT Mitochondrial, metabolic therapy. It focuses on fueling your body with fats and switching from burning glucose to burning fat.Read More

While in the process of moving across the country I am trying not to let the stress of packing and moving hinder my transformative year and continuous journey in life to stay in a positive mindset and shine brighter every day. The challenge is real right now, but with a "low" I am taking a moment to turn this experience into a high and see the positive in the moving process. (Organization, purging items no longer needed, being back with family, keeping my cool during the moving process).Read More

Being in gratitude for the not-yet manifested informs The Universe that you know that what you desire already exists, and puts you at the right frequency to receive it.
We all fall victim to it from time to time those days when we just fall into a downward spiral of pity. The end of the weekend can totally churn up some weird negative shit for us.Read More
Reading in the summer wasn't always as fun as it is now. I am happy to get back into reading and making time for myself to read more. I love reading now under the summer sun or in the shade poolside, it wasn't fun when teachers assigned you books to read during the summer (I had my own stack of books I wanted to get through), but I was pretty nerdy and would usually read the assigned reading plus my own choice of books. This month I started off strong and instantly breezed through 4 books consecutively. I ended the month on the 5th book, but got a little discouraged and have been slowly finishing it (will include that one in the next book haul). The other four books were amazing and kept me hooked. Here are some of my suggestions if you are looking for some juicy summer reads!Read More

Growing up I loved reading. I would read every night before bed and any time I had the chance. These days I am lucky to make a moment for reading when I'm on a plane or have some "down time". I realized that I still loved reading and wanted to make it a priority. I block out time before bed to wind down with a book and it definitely helps me sleep better over mindlessly scrolling through social media before bed.Read More
